Are wood tables out? Table help please??

Someone told me wood tables are no longer what people are buying these days.
I didn't understand the material she described but I'm wondering if this is true.
Are they cheaper because they aren't wood?
Will it go out of fashion in 3 years so not worth to buy this new type?

I plan on buying a wood table. I shop at restoration hardware and pottery barn, wood tables are still very popular.

Kitchen or dining room?

People do glass, wood or other material kitchen tables.

Most formal dining tables in frum homes are wood.

Wood tables are not "out". Certain very traditional styles of wood tables are out but that is nothing new. Very few people want the "Bubbe" look.

Go to an online place like Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn

Roche Bobois has modern furniture and some are wood - some aren't - none are Bubbe style LOL
