My house has wood floors in the kitchen and they are a disaster. I don’t have money to replace right now but I need some advice. They are always dirty and so hard to clean. There are so many crevices and cracks. My baby is eating food now and half of it lands on the floor. If I don’t catch every single bit the min after mealtime it sticks to the floor and becomes impossible to remove. These are old wood floors btw prob from the 80s.

Ugh I hate mine too. Mine are newer --previous owners did it-- but it's super annoying anytime there's a spill, things get in the cracks, etc. I have an extra long foam kitchen mat near my sink and dishwasher and that's been helpful. Maybe get one for under your high chair? I know they make specific ones for underneath.

You can buy self adhesive vinyl tiles, they should last a decent amount of time

You can put down interlocking floor tiles that don’t need to be permanent. Many options for temporary floors.

I would start with either a large wipable mat, or plastic tablecloth under the highchair, so at least that isn't so hard to clean up.
Then you could look into either adhesive or similar vinyl tiles or planks that can be laid on top for a DIY job to make it easier for you to clean.
