Anyone knowledgeable can please help me?
I’m finally doing laser hair removal; most places I called have the candela but one place which I was leaning towards has the soprano ice and now I’m not sure which way to go.
Then someone told me just go on Groupon and choose any facility because it doesn’t matter.
Then someone told me to only use Shulamis because she’s the best and any other place I’d be wasting my time.
Then someone told me go to aesthetics by k, beautiful facility, pricey but worth it.
And I’m so confused
I’m in Brooklyn, fair skin, medium dark hair, never did this before, low threshold for pain, sensitive skin.
so if anyone has any recommendations or experiences to share, please help! I’m so confused now.

Hey
I was going to a place in Flatbush for over 2 years they use the soprano ice machines
In the beginning it worked great I saw amazing results very fast
But then after 8 sessions or so I started not seeing the same fast results my hair would grow back pretty fast (thinner but def visible )
The place I went to didn’t give a deduction on the price after a number of sessions so I was paying a crazy amount every 6-8 weeks
After my daughter was born I knew that hormones are whacked up and I went for 3 sessions after birth and after the third one I was shaving a week later
I asked the place when I’ll be done laser they said never, I would always need touch ups
I changed places now I live in Lakewood and I use a stronger machine and the woman told me that soprano ice and other painless laser machines are not as effective
Now when I go the pain is unbearable but so worth it because I haven’t shaved in months
So do research on what these places offer

I highly recommend Anna's Laser! She is amazing! I got laser treatments there when I was 17/18 and I'm now 29 and still 98% hair free. It hurt like h*ll but was worth it. With numbing cream it was bearable.

Did it hurt significantly more than waxing?

I spoke to the technician who used soprano ice and she said in her experience using both, soprano is superior over candela- because of speed, less pain, and deeper penetration of laser.
She said candela is very painful and higher risk of burns and each session takes very long.
So now I am confused again.
Most people seem to use candela. Google seems to favor soprano. I don’t want pain.
