Maybe it's only working for one day b/c you're only doing it for one day. How many times did you put her shoes on her pillow?

Next time maybe put them in the freezer! Twisted Evil
(But that'll backfire on you if the moisture damages them - maybe not such a good idea.)

Buy her a bathrobe and tell her she needs to start getting changed in her room. When she goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth, she can take her dirty laundry with her.

I don't understand why you don't just get her out of bed, at whatever time, to pick up her shoes? Has this been suggested?

how old is she? has she been doing htis every day since she has shoes? or is this a new habit.
ithought of htis casue every day my 3 yr old comes home from school and drops her bag on the floor of the hallways. everyday the same spot.
and everyday I tell my 3 yr old to pick it up and hang it on the wall. which she happily does.
now I imagine eventually it will sink in and she will do it on her own as do her older siblings- they come home and (mostly) the bags get hung on the wall.

point is, if this is a sudden change for her then it will take time to get rid of. but if you have been telling her this since she was a toddler, then I have no advice.

Elegant And Understated Gown In Cream Silk And Silk Organza

Gown seen on Diamond Bride runway. Incredibly elegant and understated gown in cream silk and silk organza. Built in crinoline is wide only on bottom, creates long and slim silhouette. Back has small buttons running from neck to bottom of back. Matching buttons on sleeve. Fully tznius, size 4. Purchased at $4,000 and selling for $2,000. Includes matching long train veil and shoes worn only at wedding if desired.

She’s 11, but they all do that with their knapsacks, all my kids. This morning:

DD: did you put my shoes on my face today?
ME: Did you put your shoes in the bathroom yesterday?
DD: (Smiling) I forgot!
ME: Well, I wanted it to ‘go into your head’

We’ll see what the morrow brings.

good luck! it's done wonders for me over the years.

(sometimes it backfires on them - when I didn't pick it up and then it's up to them to find it themselves!)
