Yes. DH is in the kashrus field and it’s not unusual to find quinoa infested with creepy crawlies .

Supposedly if the expiration is under a year away then you should use a small strainer to shake it out over white paper and make sure there are no bugs. That’s what I do. Meaning the quinoa stays in the strainer but if anything falls into the paper then check that.

For reference I have been making quinoa once a week (or more) for the past 2 years or so, and found 2 infested bags. I check it every week, takes only a minute using a big mesh strainer over a white plate.
