Recently my bath towels don’t smell fresh after washing. I make sure they are dried fully and I wash once a week. My other laundry smells fresh so I don’t think it’s an issue with my machine….
I’ve seen on here to use vinegar or baking soda in the load, but if anyone has specific instructions that would be super helpful! How much? Do I do both or one? Do I just toss it in the drum in addition to detergent. I have a front loader machine, and use either tide pods or regular liquid tide.

Sanitize the washing machine there’s a setting
Let dry
clean the rubber parts and door
leave doors open

I add 1/2-1 cup of vinegar depending on load size when washing towels. Just poured straight into machine

Thank you! I will do sanitize cycle and vinegar this week and see how it goes

Make sure to take them out of the machine as soon as the load ends. This really helps. Also dark laundry gets a smell much faster than whites.

I pour vinegar in the bleach compartment in evert load besides whites. Whites and white towels I use bleach.

This is why I like white towels so I can bleach them.
Use vinegar and hot water.

Do most of you recommend I pour vinegar directly into the machine or better in the bleach compartment?
