So annoyed that I already poured the cheese into my supper then noticed what looked like mold. The part already in my supper isn't moldy. Can I use it?

Unfortunately, no. Mold starts under the surface. Once you’re seeing it, it’s already contaminated

We were having this lately with every second bag of mehadrin shredded cheese, until we stopped buying it

No. If it were a block of cheese you could cut off the moldy part, but with shredded you don't know where it's spread.

This happens all the time with the shredded cheese from Jewish brands. The only way I have avoided it is to split the bag in half, putting the cheese in a freezer bag and freezing it to keep it fresh.

Ive done it before when I was in a much worse place.. not advisable, the cheese tastes moldy even if it doesn't look it

I keep shredded cheese in freezer for this reason. And it defrost quickly

Not good, throw out. I moldy cheese can be really bad for you. Even if all parts don't look moldy
