Any imas on here have a degree in either field ??
Considering both as an option.

Schooling- did you do online? In person?

I want to chime in here. EMTs work in groups along with men. There may be significant shaylos especially if you work night shifts. I vote pharmacy

While they are both in the health field, they are as different as night and day. It’s like asking for a Shabbos side dish, should I make sweet and sour carrots or orzo with sautéed onion and black olives. They are both a great option, but completely different.

Are you an adrenaline junky or do you prefer a quiet job?
Do you want to provide direct patient care, or be behind the scenes. How do you feel about touching strangers and gross things. Is delivering a baby the coolest thing you can imagine or eww gross, don’t really want to touch all that. There are different jobs because different people have different strengths and interests. What do you want to do?

Thank you the response and very much appreciated the perspective.

They both appeal to me -they both target different strengths of mine.
I do great with the adrenaline rush, and direct patient interaction etc..
And the technical aspect and brainwork of pharmacy.

Trying to get personal perspectives. Like are emt shifts practical? How long was certification? Was it a smooth process?
Are there job opportunities out there for pharmacy technicians?

I guess I should have qualified my statement. Where I work, I see patients coming in with male and female EMTs riding the same rig

The shifts are usually 10-12 hours, I do overnights.

Certification is about a few months- it’s schooling and pretty smooth, tho lots of learning and testing.
