Hi,
Does anyone here take responsibility for curriculum of a specific subject in school? Like the middleman between principal and teacher to make sure curriculum is being taught properly, cohesively, throughout a department?
E.g..chumash curriculum, yahadus curriculum, reading curriculum, science curriculum?
To kind of mentor teachers, help guide them, make sure they're covering ground at right pace and that students are learning...
Kind of eyes and ears for the principal with the focus on one subject throughout a few grades...?
If so, how does it work for you?

Yes I am
I'm in the UK so things may be differently but I'm essentially in charge of 2 kodesh subjects in the high school (years 7-11) In practise, I help out the newer teachers with curriculum and lesson planning, and work a bit on long term planning (though not as much as I should as I don't have time)

I am a literacy coach in frum school in nj. My job is to coordinate the literacy curriculum for grades pre1a-2. I make sure teachers know what to teach and when and give trainings, meet with teachers and visit classrooms. Happy to answer questions.
