how to store them<
this yr I took them out and they were full of yellow stains

We use same tablecloths all year round, as long as they've been washed you can use your regular tablecloths on pesach.

Did you wash them before putting them away (even if you always had them covered)? Invisible stains will show up after a year of storage.

I wash and hang dry them, then fold and place in an airtight container.
They are still in perfect condition after quite a few pesach uses.

I keep them in the linen closet. There's nothing chometz in there and they need to breathe.

Yellow stains aka closet stains occur because residual material from the spill, trapped in the fibers, oxidizes over time. Bleach doesn't remove the stain; it merely reverses the oxidation. The stains will return time after time. It's exactly like using lemon juice to write a secret message, which you make visible by heating the paper.

Re-bleach to reverse the chemical reaction.
