Other names I only know one of:
Beinish
Priva
Heard of the name Stisha and when I was younger someone claimed they had a friend Rudala, but I never was sure if she made it up.

Beinish is a name in my family! I know a ton of Beinishes.

Was just thinking about that name, the kids all claim they know someone who knows someone with that name. There’s no way (talking about the last name although would be pretty cruel to name your kid the first name on its own).

Really cruel to name it at all. These are Yiddish Shetl names, I think we can leave them there and stick to mainstream biblical names but that’s my opinion only.

Now, all that being said, my son has a lesser known but beautiful name. I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned here.

Keep in mind in my community it’s expected to name for our living parents.

My son’s name is for my fil. He’s very proud of his name. My mil name is unusual and ugly so as not to embarrass my daughter we added another common but beautiful name and we call her by it. My mother’s name is also very unusual and I have a niece with her name.

My name is genendel, which is where genendy comes from. I wish my parents had named me Chana, which is the Hebrew equivalent.

I wish my grandmother would’ve been yonina too. I refuse to name my daughter Yona. It’s not fair to her

It outs that I'm on here, which for various technical reasons isn't something I want made public.

Also the name I have in mind is probably the only one in the world with that name today, so, privacy for them too.

It doesnt out you if you just write "I know a --"
You can be their neighbor, teacher, friend etc. And the world is so big there might just (probably will) be another person with that name.
Otherwise your post just sounds like:
"I know the most uncommon name but im not telling nah nah nah..." I dont get it
