I understand that the public schools are dismissing the students at 11am on Monday, so that they are not responsible for the children during the eclipse. My feelings are they're safer in the classroom. Are the Yeshivas taking any precautions, such as keeping the children indoors and away from windows?

The middle schoolers at my daughter's school are getting to watch it on the roof with glasses.

I have four schools
School #1: bought all kids glasses and are taking them out. They had us sign a permission slip.
School #2: bought all kids glasses and taking older kids out.
School #3: (most yeshivish one who NEVER dismisses early) bought all kids glasses and dismissing at 1:00.
School #4: really a playgroup. Regular schedule. Pick up early if you like. I may.

The only danger is when looking at the sun. Otherwise you're fine.

My son is 7, turning 8 and they learned about the eclipse and how it’s dangerous to look at the sun without protection. They are going to take them up to the roof with eclipse glasses.
