I do clean the rooms for basic chometz and tell them they can send in their own cleaning lady I’m not responsible for pesach-dik

But I think a thorough vacuuming and quick visual inspection is enough.

You can tape shut drawers and closets that are not fir guest use.

What would you do if they weren't renting out your rooms? How much do you clean?

We are borrowing rooms from a neighbor. She said nothing will be Pesach clean.
We won't eat there. My relatives will be sleeping there and that is all that matters. There is no issue seeing chometz as long as it isn't yours and you don't eat/enjoy it.

I think it's basic courtesy to make sure the rooms are clean, with no obvious chametz around.

The kitchen doesn't have to be kosher for Pesach, but wipe surfaces down and put away any food items that are normally on the counters. The guests don't need to know the state of your cupboards or your fridge, but they should be able to feel comfortable going into the kitchen and taking a drink of water (even if they provide the pesach cups!).

Most people don't feel comfortable seeing cereal boxes on the counter during Pesach, even if they belong to someone else and have been sold. It takes less than a minute to drape a towel over it.

You also have to know your guests.

I've had a family stay at my house when I was away, and when I came home after YT I actually called to see if they ever showed up, because they left the house so spotless!

Then I've had guests who made it very obvious they stayed there, the cabinets were clearly rifled through and toys and wrappers were in places they didn't belong.

Category 1 of guests I'd clean their bedroom/s for pesach, and tell them the rest if the house isn't pesach'dik, and leave it at that.

Category 2 of guests I wouldn't have on pesach, there's no knowing what they'd touch/use.

I'm giving my guest rooms for pesach while im away. I told them I'll have the room and house clean, but not checking the whole house for chometz. They won't need to open any cabinets other than the ones in the guest room.
I also told them, although the guest rooms will be clean, they should still make sure to check it thoroughly. I don't want the responsibility of bedikas chometz.
