We used to sing a song in high school, wondering if anyone knows the words or where I can find it. I remember the graduating class singing it at the end of the year. It was a slow song. Something like
"Shalom Shalom Shalom
Shalom Shalom good bye
Ki bsimcha tetzeiun
Uvshalom tuvalun."
The end was "why is it so hard to say good bye"
(Or I'm mixing up two songs lol so if you know either, please help me!)

I know what song you’re referring to, but I only know the words you posted! Sorry can’t be more helpful. Think I heard it on Miami Boys Choir many decades ago.

The song is called “Sholom”
It’s the last song on the Miami Boys Choir album called “The Simcha Song”

Like the first poster mentioned, it's a Miami boys choir song and after that there is a posuk in Hebrew that starts he'harim v'hagva'os...
Doesn't end with the English sentence about it being hard to say goodbye

Thanks all! Now I'm remembering that maybe the English song has words "through all the thousand years" lol dunno if that helps? I'm thinking maybe it was a campy song? Anyone sing it in camp?
