My Mom never likes anything I give her. I really want to get her something she actually likes this year for her birthday. (Last year, I gave her a spa day, and she gave it back to me on my birthday.) She's the type of person that "has everything" and pursues no specific interests. Any suggestions?

Something that says mom on it. Something that is sentimental.

One of my grandmothers is the same way. She never want anything and is the type who has everything-if she needs something she gets it herself. My mom always gets her stuff like in hallmark where they have a bunch of mom things. She got her once family pic w/ a beautiful parents poem.

My latest gift-giving has been pictures of the kids. So for mother's day, I made photo books online with a bunch of my digital pictures. And for father's day we did photo mugs. You could do something along those lines - a tote, a mug, a t-shirt/sweatshirt, whatever you think she might actually use. I will tell you that even though there's not really a "use" for the photo books, they were HUGE hits with the grandmas and great-grandma!

I got her bubble bath in a bottle that says you're the best mom ever on it, and a book for her to write in vignettes about her life to pass down.

Sounds nice. It's great that she was happy with it!
