I find the first chapter very boring. Just me?

How do you know who's who and what's what? Isn't it like coming into a movie theater twenty minutes into the movie? It takes you another 20 minutes to figure out what's going on, by which time the film is half over.

How does that work. The first chapter is the intro without it how do you follow the plot?

Sometimes I start reading, then go to the last chapter to read the ending
Sometimes I watch movies that way too

I do that with movies. Don’t have patience to sit through the introductory part of the plot. Get to the interesting parts already….

If you can’t get through the beginning then it’s probably not a good match for you. Try something else.

My sister liked to read the last page first.

I think it's sacrilegious.

There are some amazing books that I struggled to get into in the beginning.
But I still can't skip the beginnings. I do peek at endings sometimes.

I sometimes do. I like to get further in so I can see if I like the style.

Yes. Sometimes u did 2nd chapter. Last chapter then back to 1st chapter and thru the whole book. My sister says I must have adhd. 🤷‍♀️
But that was a lifetime ago when I had time and patience to read a long novel.
