Toddler has pretty bad diapers, not very loose but looser than regular. Also, they are happening very often. Like 7 a day. Otherwise he's totally fine. Would you send in this case?

I don't think I would.
It's pretty gross for anyone who's not his mother to deal with it.

No!
Please don’t. My toddler caught diahrrea from someone still had it 5 days later it’s a nightmare.
Check for shigella it’s going around in Lakewood.

If he's feeling fine and acting regular could it be shigella still? How do they check for it?

Please don't. Diarrhea is contagious as well as not pleasant for teachers to deal with.

I do. My toddler has a very sensitive stomach though, so it would be like keeping him home every time he had a runny nose. I wouldn’t if had fever of course or other signs of illness

Went to dr. about a week ago and he said it's a virus. But maybe I should go back again.

If he still has diahrrea a week later I would take him back. Depending on his age it’s possible that could be his only symptom.

I am a morah. Do not send your child with diarrhea that you know about to playgroup.
It is time consuming to change a child with diarrhea, especially multiple times a day when there are other children to be changed.
Keep your child home.

No!! No matter how well he is acting, diarrhea is a sign he still has some virus or infection

Your doctor said it's a virus, right? Don't spend your kid who then could infect other kids.

Only if it's a side effect of other meds or a significant diet change. Not if it's anything contagious.

I posted no way earlier in the thread. But since you said it’s been going on so long, I’ll mention- firstly, has he been taken off dairy since he started? Because that will continue to irritate the stomach until it heals. And secondly, did you try a children’s probiotic? Also helps to regulate.
