I learned that as unique and lonely as my challenges may seem, I'm never the only one. I would never know this from knowing people in real life.

This. It's been eye-opening. You just can't get that from real life interactions

I learned to appreciate my amazing husband, seeing what kind of husbands there are out there.

I got so much valuable parenting advice and am a better mother because of it.

I made some very good (virtual) friends.

Imamother has been an incredible resource for me in so many areas.

Might not sound significant but I started using a menstrual cup after reading about it here. Totally changed the way I feel about periods!

Thanks for teaching me procrastinate! Also for the reassurance that everything will still be waiting for me after I get off imamother. That things will not magically get done by itself while I hang out here.
Thanks for the fun threads, the frustrating threads, the hair raising threads, the confusing threads, the boring threads, the educational threads, the controversial threads. They’re all great.
I gained so much from so many women. From some I learned how to behave and from others how not to behave.
All in all, it’s a great place to be.
Shout out to Yael! This site is brilliant! Thanks for everything!

Now, I am just like you. I know, logically, that I suffered from abuse but am holding on to the best known fact that I was just a really bad kid.

Maybe I should learn from your experience

You will get there. It takes time and hard work.

To ask the ob for mini pill prescription before my postpartum visit so I can take it starting at 3/4 weeks. Not wait till I’m good to go to the Mikvah then start staining from the pill.

I am in awe of the breadth and depth of intelligence and knowledge of so many Imas on here! And of the kindness and caring displayed. Imas taking the time to respond to queries and dilemmas of others they don't even know.
Yes, we do fight sometimes (a lot) but deep down we all care about each other. Acheinu kol bais yisroel!
