I remember watching the little princess (Shirley temple version) as a little kid and the room she’s given is described as “gay”. I remember my older sister (12 at the time) turning off the movie and saying I can’t watch it because it has an inappropriate word.
My mother later told me that I could watch it and that that word had two meanings, one of which wasn’t so nice

That’s not the one I’m referring to. But this song looks like the type we’d sing without blinking at the word gay.
