My 9 yr old loves to bake. I love that she loves it and usually she’s really good at it.
I am having a hard time finding recipes that fit her wants.
I want her to make easy things, and she wants fancy.
Things she makes independently:
Chocolate chip cookies
Biscotti (she hates this)
Yellow cake (she likes to decorate them- I do not like sprinkles or icing….)
Cupcakes
Strawberry shortcake (made out of yellow cake- delish)
Bought cookie dough- cut into shapes and decorate
Brownies
Thumbprint cookies
Things she wants to make:
Random recipes where you have to separate eggs
Layer cakes
Cookies she can shape and decorate
Things that need cookie presses
Things that need frosting bags
Please help us! Is there anything that a dump -ingredients-in-a-bowl mommy and fancy-frosting daughter can make???
Really prefer to minimize my own involvement. I absolutely hate washing dishes and cleaning up messes. She tries, but she’s 9.
She also wants to make 2 NEW things every week.

Lol at your username
Why don't you set out the terms with her. If she will clean up and not ask for help (other than safety) then she can do whatever she wants.
Or - she can use only these 3 bowls. Maybe she'll have to rinse off herself in between
She can choose 1 new thing and 1 old thing. Or you'll do dishes for the old thing but not the new thing
Set some boundaries but then really let her loose here and give her the independence and space for this skill
Do you have cookbooks like Kids in the Kitchen that she can navigate on her own?

I can say the same for my 10 year old she's bored of making crinkle cookies, choc chip cookies and Cupcakes.
She got as a chanukah gift raizy cookin recipe book for kids, it's beautiful but really hard to do on her own!
I'm following for ideas...

Cookies that she can shape and decorate would be regular sugar cookies but leave out the baking soda so that the cookies keep their shape.
Also, if she (or you!) needs to measure margarine for any recipes, line the measuring cup with a sandwich bag.
