if your a girl and you have facebook then you have no doubt seen the new groupds for all these young fashion designers. Everyday a new group pops up with a new brand of headbands. They are mostly appliques and feathers on velvet or satin headbands.

I just want to say that I think theyre gorgeous and for ppl who are like me who just wear black and use accessories as the added color- these are great!

Second- I really want to kno how to make them. I know you can appliques at any fabric store. What about feathers? and beads and such?
And how do you make headbands for a sheitel, not the hard ones?

I know somebody who makes them and sells them. She's creative and she's self taught. She buys her supplies online but I doubt she'd give her contacts names to others as this is her business. Do a search for art supplies and if you are good with your hands you can usually do these things.

go to a big place like JoAnn Fabrics ... or some other craft / sewing store ... they have it all ...

I have been seeing so much of them and SO many facebook groups it almost makes me want to NOT buy them!

but some of them are really stunning..

I started seeing them a long time ago in very few places. then all of the sudden recently its like EVERYONE opened a business. I guess its a creative and fun thing to do out of your house, so its a good business for many women. plus its totally trendy right now, so they can charge a lot of $$$ for them.

I used to work in a fabric store and every other month or so girls came in to start a business making and selling things like that. We always wondered if they actually made money on it What

I no that sherels on 13th ave in new york does plain bands of all widths they add on any diamote or applique u desire they have a variety of different styles

these "new" headbands have been sold for a few years already. These new businesses are not original at all. They are mostly just copying the originators.
