I think Pottery Barn will let you do a test delivery and return if it doesn't work. I bought a loveseat for a small upstairs room and I don't think they were even able to get it up the steps. I paid a small fee and received a refund on the couch. I wonder if a place like Raymour and Flanagan might also have a similar policy. Don't beat yourself up. Keep trying and hopefully you'll find something that works to your specifications and price range. By the way, I thought you needed a shalom bayis couch for someone to sleep on while the other one is snoring in the room! I'm providing links but not sure if this is what you're looking for.

I think you need a regular 2 seater couch from a jewish store.

How are 2 seaters in a Jewish store better than a regular store?

I have a mini sectional in my bedroom.
not sure what your budget is but something like this

https://www.wayfair.com/furnit......html

or you can even find some that only extend on one side

I love this idea. I've been looking but they are too wide. I need something that fits 72".

can you go to a local furniture store and look at loveseats. they are 2 seater couches. you can ask for a floor sample that they sometimes sell for very cheap.
also you can try it separately and if both feel it's comfortable, it'll be fine when sitting together. you don't have to try it together in public to see that it's comfortable for you.
