are you taking your children on trips this week?
Usually we do that but in the current situation it feels safer to stay local.
Are there any recommendations on the subject?

We'll go to my parents in the Haifa area.
We usually don't travel on chanukah. To complicated.

My husband and I are doing an outing on chanuka in Jerusalem. This time of year is really beautiful to go out and we both work a lot so it would be a shame to miss out.

We're going to the zoo in Jerusalem, then Friday morning shopping in Geula and shabbos in Mea Shearim, including tishen! I needed to get away, and it's both my wedding anniversary as well as twins birthday, so double (or triple) celebration!

Chanukah candle lighting at the kosel is beautiful! They light 2 menorahs one at the top of the building opposite the wall and another at the wall. It's at around 4:30 so great timing for kids.
You and go up the big porch ( entrance near bathrooms) for amazing view and lots of space.

I noticed that many people are taking advantage of the school break to get some shopping done.
