You didn't post your location.
My close relative had Crohns surgery with Dr. Kiran in Columbia in Manhattan. Highly recommend.
Another relative had Crohns surgery in Mount Sinai with Dr. Greenstein who comes highly recommended.
Both those options take a broad range of insurances, but obviously you need NY coverage for them.
If you are located out of the tri-state area, you have great options in the Cleveland Clinic.
If you are in NJ and don't have NY coverage you may have a problem, but there used to be a surgeon in University of PA who came recommended by Shuki Berman. HUP accepts many NJ insurances, but not NJ Medicaid plans...
In short, your location matters.

I would love to hear more about Dr Greenstein. Did the surgery work out, did they need any after that? How was his bedside manner? is he considered top of the line?

With my husband - all 3 surgeries were due to Crohns, first 2 were very complicated ones, other surgeons were refusing to do, my mom - was a complicated post op abdominal hernia surgery, not due to Crohns

What kind of surgery is needed? Based on where they will be operating, you might need either a colorectal or general surgery

Yes, surgery worked out.
Didn't need any further surgery, but that has more to do with the management of Crohns disease by the GI, not the skills of the surgeon).
I don't know firsthand how his bedside manner was. It was a close relative of mine, but not one that I accompanied to appointments.
Yes, he is considered top of the line
