My teen was diagnosed with ADD (inattentive) a year ago but is not on meds. She is ready to try.
I'm not sure where to go with her because the doctor who diagnosed her has left the practice where she was seen.
Who manages your child's ADD meds?

Psychiatrist. Doesn't have to be the same one who diagnosed. Neurologist can too. You could also try regular pediatrician if it is straightforward.

Psychiatrists are generally the most qualified to prescribe medication.

Ask your pediatrician for a recommendation
Call relief for recommendation.
Call back the practice that diagnosed her. Even if her dr left, a different dr should have taken over her case and you can ask him/her to refer you to someone who can give you meds.
I love Shaindy parnes, but she might be full and not taking new patients. You can call her office and try. If not ask to be put on a waiting list. I also heard of a dr hizami I think in freehold. Not sure if I’m spelling his name right.
