My first time teaching halacha. Taught 12 grade big unit on muktzah
Any tips of how to structure the test? Types of questions? Sections? Etc
Thanks!

For fairness sake make sure the types of questions you use are types you've practiced with them during class. For halacha, I really like application type questions- asking about different scenarios and what the halacha would be. You could do some matching for types of muktzah and specific objects.

In the future, create the test first. This is called backwards design. If you make the test ie what you want them to know then you can focus on those objectives accordingly.
Also look up blooms taxonomy which is a method for formulating different levels of questions, not just spitback. You can also Google question stems like prompts to help you.
For halacha the best assessment is: you are in this scenario, what do you do? (This can be multiple choice, essay, demo... use blooms taxonomy)
Also a plug for my friend mushkie who posts tips and strategies for teachers on ig @evergrowingeducator and by email if you sign up on her site
