Does anyone have info about Shiras Miriam (sem in Israel). Have been trying to research but have not been too successful in getting too much information about the place). My daughter's principal suggested it as a good idea for my daughter who could use a low pressure environment but she is a good BY wholesome girl. The school she is currently in is very academic and most of the girls in her grade will end up going to highly competitive, shtark learning, academic style seminaries- but she needs a school that is much more about personal growth and fundamentals than text based learning but in a good frum atmosphere. Anyone with experience, can you weigh in?

Do you mean Be'er Miriam?

I don't think I've heard of a seminary called Shiras Miriam, but Be'er Miriam sounds similar to what you are describing. Maybe one of you got the name mixed up?

My daughter attended in 2022-23. Based on her experience and a friend who attended the year prior, I would not recommend. My daughter is a “wholesome BY girl” and she was shocked at the language and conversation topics of girls there. There were also issues both of those years with the hanhala. Now of course this is just my daughter and her friend’s experience. I hope no one will jump down my throat for saying this. (And we have spoken to our rav about what we can and cannot say.) However, I would advise looking for a different, small BY sem.

They moved location this year and apparently only have around 12 girls. Last year was 22 and I think around 25 the year before. So it will be hard to get info from people there now unless you call the sem to get contact names.

Is shiras miriam the one that was near tachana merkazit two years ago?

If it is, I know girls who went and were very unhappy. I even know one who left mid year.
