The reviews indicate it has a good screen, which is important to me, and decent performance. My hesitation is that Amazon has a significant restocking fee if you return it for not liking it, so I'm not super keen on buying without seeing it in person. I don't know if the market changed since my kids were that age, but as of 8ish years ago that's an excellent price! My "buy now" threshold was if it went under $1 per piece, which was rare. Fortunately at the time I lived in a neighborhood that also had a decent market for gently used.

Haven't read through the whole thread but I saw a few posts regarding magna tiles. I once bought an off brand on amazon that had good reviews and were compatible to magnatile sets. I cannot tell the difference in quality - the only difference is slight color variation and slight design difference. But they fit together and were super cheap. They haven't broken either- real ones I have are slightly older and have had a few that cracked.

So if the real set is too expensive I would recommend people look for an off set with lots of RECENT reviews and read them. (Some of these fake companies use old posts with lots of 5 stars and then change the product - saw it once was for very different items.)
