Ended up making version of fish n chips. Which sounds messy and is messy but is oh so good.
You slice pita in half. Fill each pita envelope with dip (mayo + ketchup), fish sticks, french fries, lettuce and repeat.
Your hands will get dirty. But the combo is so good!
That was for dh and me.
Kids ate fish sticks and fries plain.

That sounds good!
After all these fancy recipes you chose fish sticks 😂 😝 LOL

I like simple food too (as long as it’s full of flavor)

Laugh
My kids are always complaining that I make chicken every day. So dh gave me this idea. The kind of supper when I make dh and I love but end up making it only twice a year.

I'm telling you it doesn't sound good but it really is.

Thanks for the inspo! I just made this for supper tonight. First time too. I added onion powder, garlic powder, montreal steak seasoning and a little bit of crushed pepper flakes. I friend an onion to add right before serving (leave it to me to turn a super simple recipe into a patchke) Unfortunately my ground beef was frozen, going to open it up in half an hour and iy’H break apart the beef. Hope it works!

Can you post the recipe from dinner done for the oven meat sauce pasta?

Hawaiian chicken over rice and yesterday's zucchini soup

(Easiest recipe but feels like a special dish because the pineapple makes it sweet, so kids love it)

Really basics foods.

I have stew meat and I’d like to make some kind of crockpot goulash for tonight, so if anyone has a good recipe please share!

Thinking of sautéing onions, celery, and carrot until the onions are soft. I’ll shake the meat cubes in flour with salt and pepper till they’re covered and then “sear” them in the crockpot. I’ll add a cubed zuchini, sweet potato, and maybe two white potatoes. What would you add after? Water?, spices, sauce?

Inspired by this thread (and my freezer)

Pita, Falafel, Hummus, Breaded Cauliflower, Salad if there are veggies left
I think I have some fish sticks for the kids that don't want falafel.
