I have to say though, while I feel the most sorry for Esti, I'm not as harsh of Eli as others are. Clearly, Dina has been manipulating everyone for a very long time - so long, in fact, that the Beckmans literally can't see her behavior as abnormal, because they are so used to it. It's like people in abusive situations, who often don't even realize they're being abused because they don't know any differently.

Eli is being pulled in so many directions, and since he views Dina's behavior as normal, he is therefore frustrated with Esti for going on about something he honestly can't see. If your spouse would go on and on about something you thought was perfectly normal, especially while you were greiving and under a tremendous amount of stress, you would probably be frustrated at him too.
I'm not saying Eli's attitude toward Dina is not dysfunctional, I'm just saying that it's obvious he simply can't see it, and probably won't be able to, without outside help.

Esti's been talking about divorce a few weeks already. Probably as Eli's going to answer, Mimi will call that mother's taken a turn for the worse....or Dina's getting divorced, and Eli will get so busy trying to keep Dina's marriage together ahead of his own

Eli has such terrible communication skills. Esti is not the greatest either, but she has been trying countless times to communicate with her brick wall of a husband. Even leaving Dina out of the picture, their marraige cannot survive on the level of communication that they have!

It's funny to me how in the beginning Eli was this confident macho workoholic business man. Now he's become his family's shmatta and lost all respect from his wife. It seems that he's lost himself when he lost his father and the business. He had been too busy to ever invest in his marriage. He took his wife and drama free life for granted. And now he's eating it.

I give kudos for Ari, but Mimi should hide in shame. All of a sudden, I don't hear anything about Esti being money hungry and breaking up the family, now that it is affecting her, she is on the case. Also, why is Mimi's house in the father's name? Is the business also paying their mortgage? B"H Esti's floor is now super clean and she should have some vindication that it is not only her. Let us see how Eli weasels his way out of this one. It is no wonder the business is suffering how many mortgages can a so called struggling business pay. When is the mother going to find out her house is mortgaged to the hilt?

Yes my blood was boiling when I read that.

All of a sudden when it affects Mimi she doesn't care about 'keeping the peace' and 'not hurting Dina cos she just lost her father'.

She doesn't validate Esti or apologise.
