So tough, especially with every setback/new development…
Hope baby feels better really quickly from the fever and of course in general, and that you get to the bottom of what’s going on quickly and easily with easy answers.

Hi ladies,
Thank you all for your tefillos and caring! B"H our baby is off dialysis since yesterday afternoon, and so far so good ka'h! He is also getting my milk through his feeding tube, as well as "oral care" (they swab some of my milk around his lips, which he really likes). Bilirubin is going down as well (finally) as he gets more milk.
Coming up later this week—liver biopsy, bone marrow biopsy and lumbar puncture.
Please keep davening! Your tefillos make a difference!

BH he is making progress! We are still waiting on results from the liver biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, and spinal tap, but he was able to be extubated yesterday, and is now on a CPAP instead, which means arranging to hold him is a lot less of an arduous process (when he was intubated they needed a respiratory therapist to come and it took a long time to get him from his incubator over to whoever was going to hold him, lots of wires and tubes to keep track of, etc). DH held him skin-to-skin yesterday, and bezH I hope to get to do so today!
He is still on high doses of immunosuppressants because of his autoimmune/inflammatory storm. The medical team is leaning towards a specific diagnosis, but still waiting on test results before they confirm.

Your little one is in our tefillos. We were in a similar situation almost 2 years ago now with my son born with a rare condition and now he is such a blessing to our family and doing very well. You should have so much nachas from your little one and iyH you should be able to take him home healthy soon.
