They teach kids all sorts of random medrashim these days.
My son came home saying that Sichon was born in the Teiva. I never heard that and I would love to know a source for it. His rebbe said that one of the daughter in laws of Noach was carrying Sichon from before marrying into Noachs family. Anyone ever heard this?
I learned the thing about Noach being the first with fingers many years ago from one of those card games, forget what it's called, where they have people of Tanach and they list facts about them. So it seems like before Noach people were born with webbed hands. And somehow the name Noach is connected to the fact that he has fingers, though I don't remember what the connection is. Can anyone help me out here?
Never heard Abt sichon
Torah Cards!!! They were great
I think noach because it made things easier for people

Rabbi Yochanon Ben Torta
Nevuzaradan (I think. The general who killed thousands of leviim on the blood of Zecharya hanavi, and it continued to boil?) The medresh says Rabbi Meir comes from him.
Maybe I got the name wrong.
Gosh my memory is going
Eta. I just looked it up. The Roman general who converted was Nero.
Wait, I was right. Nevuzaradan was the general who killed the people om the blood of Zecharya and then later converted. . So there were two Roman generals who converted.
The sons of Haman converted.
Also, I believe Rabbi Akiva's third wife was a convert. She was a Roman nobelwoman prior to that.

Okay I googled
Thank you for reigniting my love of learning
Chabad.org has a list of some converts you should know LOL
some I knew some I didn't
Here are ones not yet mentioned on this thread
Basya
Rachav
Ovadia
Shmaya and avtalyon (possibly just descending from geirim)
Ben Bag Bag and Ben hey hey*
Heleni hamalka
Munbaz hamelech (her son)
*Super interesting. I'm copying from Chabad.org:
In the generation following Shemayah and Avtalyon, we find another pair of converts known as Ben Bag Bag and Ben Hay Hay. Presumably because of the danger involved in converting to Judaism at the time, their names were actually codes for their real identities. Hay is the Hebrew letter that was added to the names of both Abraham and Sarah. Thus ben [“son of”] hay hay hints to the convert’s status as a child of Abraham and Sarah. Bag bag takes the code one step further, since bag is spelled beit and gimmel, which together have the same numerical value as hay. 16 Alternatively, Bag Bag may be an acronym for ben geir, uben giyoret (“the son of a convert and a convertess”). Whatever the reason for his name, Rabbi Yochanan ben Bag Bag was known to be fluent in all areas of the Torah,17 and Ben Hay Hay was known to converse with Hillel.18
What a great question! I love it
First one I can think of is Beshalach.
I never found one in Mikeitz, were did you find it?
I am going to have to look up Beshalach again because I thought Mikeitz was the only one without a sheep.
