I want to make a pareve cream of broccoli soup, but I have a couple of eaters who don't like blended soup, they like there to be lots of actual veggies in their soup. (And a couple of young eaters who will probably just eat the broccoli.) So blending the whole thing won't work.
It seems like a lot of the recipes online use potatoes to get the creamy consistency. How can I amke that work without blending the broccoli too? Any ideas?

Leave some broccoli florets out of the soup (roast them for extra flavor). Add them after blending and then cook for another 10-15 min

Can use an immersion blender &, once soup is all fully cooked, just partially blend, I do this often, so it's partially pureed partially full of soft hearty vegetables too

Instant mashed potato flakes can give you creaminess without having to blend.

You can put half the broccoli in a net and then take the net out and blend the soup (broc and pot abd Onion)and then open the net and add the broccoli pieces

This is the perfect idea. Thank you, everyone! All of the ideas were helpful, and this is the one I think I'm going to try. My broccoli lovers thank you :-)
