I'm aching! I just don't feel connected and attached to my baby, I so badly want to! This isn't my first, (he's a few months old) I feel like I Don't want this baby but would never give it up (baby does get love from siblings, just not so much me, and it pains me!!!)

I only have one baby but had this experience - it took 5 months or so for me to develop a bond. It’s an awful feeling, you feel so guilty. And it’s harder to take care of a baby you’re not feeling connected to.
What’s different by this birth? Do you think you might have ppd?

I totally get you.
I had a baby a year ago, a surprise, unwanted pregnancy,
I had no attachment to my baby.
I fed him, ( nursed) with resentment.
I resented almost everything about the situation.
But now I adore him so so much.
I can't get enough of him.
I love him, I spoil him so much more than I did the others, let him snuggle in bed with me, play with him so often etc.
But it took time.
When he became much more interactive and independent, crawling then walking etc, is when my love really grew.
Give yourself time.
It's ok if you don't fall in love right away

I really agree with this! It gets a lot easier to connect as the baby becomes more of a person than just a lump of cuteness who only knows how to cry.

I had the same thing after my third. I realized that I was so busy with Whatsapp and other social media apps and that was causing me to feel disconnected from my baby. I ended up giving up my smartphone (!) and the yeshuah came! More time for mommy to bond with baby = more love!!

This is a classic symptom of ppd. You should speak to a doctor
