First I hope everyone is doing ok in LA and surrounding areas. I am supposed to fly in tomorrow but can delay until Wednesday. How bad is it there? Should I delay? Hard to tell from weather app/news.

Can you call your airline/hotel/friends/meeting/locals? Between the hurricane and 5. Earthquake you are smart to double check

Im in LA and it's really ok
Basically rained the whole day and most of the night
Which can affect some roads getting blocked because of flooding etc, possibly more traffic
I don't know for how long

What are your concerns? The flight? Getting around? Anything else?

When asking locals just keep in mind that to them this is a major "storm"
I'm from tristate and it's literally just rain LOL
At the same time if affects LA differently because they are not prepared for this (not enough drainage etc) so you'd want to find out about how/if it would affect your day to day in two days time

I wasn't indoors all day test, drove to the next neighborhood
Streets were emptier, I heard some streets were closed
I was told there were some accidents because people were trying to drive slower on freeways/driving at different paces- I don't think this would matter now as the rain has already stopped
Maybe find out if roads in your area will be closed/have been closed in the past because of drainage issues when there's rain
