my son is now 7 1/2 months old. I've been using Dr. Brown's bottles and I feel/felt very comfortable with them. I'm wondering now if they still serve a function for a 7 month old child - or perhaps at this age there is little to gain from this specific bottle?

I still use them with my 9 month old. Sometimes I use them without the air bubble filter thing and just use it like a regular bottle. Not sure if the air bubble blocker makes a difference anymore since my baby outgrew the reflux and burping problems he used to have, but I dont see a downside of continuing to use them

I switched at around a year, to one that was easier to clean. I think if it has the blue filter it can't be used without, if it has the green it can. So in that case you can just use without the filter and then why would you want to switch?
