SPOILER ALERT
Eli met with his uncle, his late father's brother last week. His uncle agreed to help out the family and to give Dina the money that she needs for the house. Eli and Esti actually have a functional conversation for a change. Eli tries to call his mother and then Dina to share the good news but they both ignore his calls. Later that evening he goes over to his mother's house and comes home in tears because she refuses to talk to him until they are in court and they refuse to take the money from the uncle.

Eli blames his wife that it’s her fault because she didn’t want to sign the mortgage. Her mother says word on the street is that Eli took all the money and refuses to share with his family.

Spoiler. Uncle aharon calls for a family meeting and eli calls esti to give her a 30 minute heads up. Esti is on phone with her boss and can't hang up till after everyone comes and eli gets upset. Esti realizes that he's just really upset about situation and is venting on her. She tells him she supports him no matter what happens. At the family meeting, Dina makes a ton of accusations and continues to say she's suing and won't take money from aharon. She doesn't believe that eli doesn't have the money and says she won't feel guilty for something that's eli's fault and that he is the one thats tearing the family apart - it's not her.

Esti feels guilty for not supporting her husband when he's struggling and say she will support him.

Esti does something to upset her husband.

Estis work interferes in some way.

Dina makes accusations and says everyone is trying to ruin her and cries.

I feel like I'm stuck in a kids television show where every episode is the same general plot with slightly different details

Wow. I can’t believe this.
I stopped buying the Ami about 6-8 weeks ago. I just found myself reading the serials and nothing much else. And I couldn’t justify paying all that much for it.
And every once in a while. I check in here. And in all this time, I was able to have the last few weeks summed up in 3 sentences.
Boy am I glad I’m saving money by not buying it.

I don't buy any magazines. I get amis from my mother in law, mishpacha from my neighbor and hamodia from my sister in law.

I'm usually just a week behind, sometimes two or three.

She makes me anxious too, it’s a powerless feeling when a person lives in their own reality and will twist everything to fit that narrative. I wish Esti and Eli wouldn’t fall for her tantrums and accusations, just stick to the facts over and over.
Edited to add, this author is very good at writing this type of character, I got the same anxious feeling from Leah in that bungalow colony serial last year.

It’s actually a very important lesson on how far toxic people will go when they are triggered.

If you realize, Dina is upping the abuse, smear, ambush.

I think it’s a great story with a painful lesson.

I love this serial. Don't find it repetitive at all.
It shows how a loving family can go downhill. People don't realize how healthy people can fight with family. Sometimes it takes one nuthead to destroy a whole family dynamics.
I personally know a family where they have a large loving family and one sister with a personality disorder wrecked everyone's relationship. She turned one against the other and many aren't on speaking terms. It is very very sad especially that they always had a great relationship. People don't understand how it's possible...
