We'll be in the country for the weekend & our friends invited us over for a barbeque & swimming on the Sunday. I'd like to bring a little something. Any suggestions?

I thought about dessert but it has to be something that doesn't need to be refrigerated as we'll be in a hotel for Shabbos.

If they have kids how about stuff for them? We recently were invited to a BBQ and I went to the dollarstore and bought a huge beach bag and put inside skipping ropes bubbles, water toys etc. The kids really enjoyed it and the parents were happy because the kids were entertained the entire evening!

Emee's idea isn't bad. Dessert is tricky because it's hot and it can get icky.

OP here. I like yo'ma's & emee's idea. In the supermarket, I found Baigels big containers of mini black & whites. That should do.
