I don’t want to make this such a long post.
The holistic crunchy moms hear I G-D forbid feed my children formula…
“Your basically giving your kids soda, everyone can BF if you get the right support, do it for your baby, no wonder you kids are like this, it is important to make sacrifices for your kids, your giving into the government agenda…”
You’re not better than us just because you make different choices. Many of us would BF if we could. We’re not just lazy, soda feeding moms. Our kids will turn out fine - thanks for your concern.

I give only BF and I totally get ircky on the super holistic all natural BF mums, claiming the weirdest claims on the benefits. Ok I nurse bh I have good supply and my baby does really really well but if I couln't nurse I would consiedered formula. I'm totally not believing in a goverment agenda, QAnon or any other ****. I just nurse because I can and it's convenient for me despite an abces of almost 2 inches.

I BF my first batch of kids and now I FF. I think back and cringe at how judgmental I was. BF was really really hard for me, but I had drunk the kool aid and I thought formula was toxic. Of course I judged FF. If they weren't doing something wrong, why was I destroying myself to BF?
I blame all the messaging new mothers get around feeding. It's almost toxic.

They wrong to be judgy and nasty.
On an individual level there are many who sacrificed huge amounts to breastfeed, and went through so much pain, and were unsuccessful. Probably went through way more than a mother who fed for months and it was uncomplicated. And the judginess is really wrong. It's wrong in any case!
On a population level, there are too many who don't, where maybe the baby and mother should have taken centre stage for that period in life but they didn't. And that bothers me. Mums who went back to work very early because she is the main breadwinner. Mums who want a large family and so are pregnant when the baby would have been feeding

Personally, I experienced the opposite. I BF my baby and found that mother's who didn't were incredibly judgemental and would think I was crazy for not just giving my baby a bottle. I felt that I was looked down upon even.

My message here is the same as my message on the other thread:
A fed baby, and a happy and healthy mom, are the most important thing. There is no one right or better way. I breastfed all my kids until this one. He needed formula so he could gain and grow. I have no qualms. I am doing what’s best for him, and that’s all that matters.
