Same age range but I had siblings that got married there.
I also got married in ateres Shlomo.
I believe la perville was the cheap hall at that time (1980s-early 1990s)

Crown Heights, anyone? Singer's Grocery with the pickles and holiday displays. Rivky"s grocery where they would quickly add up your order on a paper. Then there was Lipsker's grocery, if anyone can remember. The nicest stores.

Really old Lakewooders - who remembers Estherdale? Wechselbaum's? Roller skating on Fridays and vacation days at Brick Roller Form (with Rabbi Schreiber sidding on the side and his head buried ina sefer) and listening to old MBD albums?

A lot of people did in those days. It was one of the most affordable halls. Why would you think that I'm your sil? There was only Ateres Chaya, Viznitz, Torah V'Yirah, and Armon Terrace (not too popular) in those days.

Wow. So cool. I still remember getting my rocket balls from there every summer. Me and my sister went shopping there all the time and we bought expensive teaching supplies , pilot pens, roll books and Cambridge leather binders to play school and teacher . I remember when the Gottliebs opened the store on 18th and 49th.
