Jerseycare.

I could probably get on others but I'm borderline income enough that I know that once I get on them I would start cheating left and right.

Medicaid

I would love to know what else I am eligible for

Can anyone elaborate on eligibility guidelines for all of the above mentioned (new york - Rockland County)

IF you qualify for medicaid you are automatically income eligible for wic, but you need to either be pregnant or have a child under five to get the benefits.

We have Medicaid and when more than one person in our family is eligible we get WIC too. I find wic such a hassle that it's only worthwhile for at least two people.

I'm grateful that I live in Montreal where I'll be eligible for benefits once I have my baby even though I'm not in the lowest income bracket.

Last year I paid thousands in taxes, but I'll get maternity leave, child benefit, and subsidized daycare.

For anyone that is on any type of government assistance (I.e medicaid, wic, snap etc......) you can be eligible to get Free internet service with a Tablet courtesy of the government.

It is ONE per household. You can apply under a child or an adult in your house that is getting any type of gov't assistance.

They will soon be coming out with a Kosher tablet that will only have approved apps on it and will be blocked from mainstream internet if so desired.

Use this link to apply: techsafetablet.com/?referral=27

(Only applicable to Americans)

Nothing and all those I know getting benefits live such a better life than I do. They buy better food, have more money for extras like clothing, qualify for community benefits (local frum programs only give help if you get Medicaid, SNAP etc.).

And I get taxed to no end...

Nothing at all. And we can barely make ends meet with our high income in today’s economy

Yeah that's way easier, but the shopping is still a hassle. I need to check which foods/brands/sizes are eligible, keep those items separate while shopping, pay for them separately at checkout. Not worth for me when I'm getting food for only one person.

Maybe the ones making more money than those making less owe the ones on programs a tremendous hakaras hatov for the zechus and opportunity of giving tzedaka.
Maybe you owe Hashem tremendous hakaras hatov that He gave you money and didn't make you poor. May you never know what it's like.

The others are calculated by a % of your income so if you were on them you'd get a few dollars a month. It was worth it during Covid when they gave everyone the max amount. Not anymore.
