Because Esty lets herself get abused emotionally, she swallows tons of garbage.
The only thing she did was refuse to sign the papers but besides for that she keeps swallowing all his hurtful comments like about her silly designer business. That’s disgusting. He couldn’t care less about her feelings, ever.
And she thinks that she has to be a supportive wife under any and all circumstances, and she’s not good enough.

The story is getting dumb. Who cares if the only way Dina will stay married is with a house let her get divorced. Because next she will need a vacation to bora bora and so on.

Also why can’t Dina husband parents also give money towards the house it’s very normal for two sides to give money.

I believe either 1. Eli made that up just to get Esty to have compassion and agree to sign. Or 2. Dina made it up to Eli to get him to get Esty to sign. Either way, she does not deserve it and I really hope Esty doesn't fall into the trap! Her marriage needs serious help

the "her marriage is in trouble" is an emotional rather than logical argument.
even if her husband threatens to leave without financial backing the arrangement is not sustainable
or fear she will fall into a depression or who knows what
best to deal with financial reality now and let the chips fall where they may rather than go over the cliff with her

I'm thinking of Dina's perspective...
If her father promised a house and unlimited credit card before she got married, as part of the support arrangement, it might not be so simple to back out. From her end, she just lost her father who she loved more than anyone, now she has to lose her dreams too?

However, she is a total jerk and so self-centered that it's no surprise her marriage is in trouble. And of course Eli has to come in his shining armor to save her.

This story is so pathetic. I don't know how, or actually why, Esty puts up with Eli's abuse. The irony of bringing up Dina's marriage issues. Don't you see how your marriage is in the dumps???

This story is so infuriating but I'm addicted lol my husband and I laugh about how crazy it is every week.
Eli is working himself to the bone and taking out mortgages while neither Dina or her husband work, that makes total sense to him.
Eli being more concerned with Dina’s marriage when he barely has one himself.
This week he was a real jerk, he seems dumb as a doorknob 😂

Maybe Dina husband is only with her because of the money tree. That adds another dimension to the problem.

Also do those saying how dumb the story is, be happy you don’t have this problem. It is very common for people to have reasons why they need money and appeal to family members emotions to get it. The people dh gives the most money too don’t live simple lives. They just have lots of “needs”

So are they going to beis din or not? Wouldn't that clear things up? Maybe Dina or her husband realize they don't have a strong case so it's an empty threat. They aren't afraid that Eli might turn around and bring THEM to beis din--he's more likely to bring Esti there to force her to sign their lives away to the business.
