Curious how much of a percentage you made on the book, using a Frum publisher?
Please let me know!

I make ten percent on kids’ fiction. Not sure if the numbers shift based on age group. I’m sure it’s lower for picture books, though.

Most frum publishers offer somewhere along the lines of 30% if you lay out printing and editing, 10% if they do.
Hatzlacha.

We do all the production work— taking care of content, layout, editing and copy editing, printing — and the frum publisher distributes. We get 40% of the list price for however many they sell.

About 10 years ago I published a parsha book through one of the big frum publishers. I had to come up with all the money to cover editing, layout, and printing costs, and got I believe 35% of the official sticker price for each book sold, plus I could sell as many as I want and got to keep it all except for about 15-20% of each sale that went to the publisher. Don't know if this model is still in use today.
