We just booked the banyan tree for June. Can someone whose been before tell me everything I need to know?

More specifically about the food situation- I see there is a lunch and dinner menu. But what did you do about breakfast? Did you bring any of your own food with you from America?

Also just double checking the private pools are fully tznius? Do housekeepers and bell men come in unannounced?

Why other amenities are available with the hotel? I know there’s bikes to use. Is there a gym?

We bought along our own frying pan and chesse they made us eggs that we checked. They have cut up fruits, vegetables, and fresh squeezed drinks. They had lox as well.

Pool is fully private, Noone entires without your consent. You can always put the do not disturb sign outside.

The resort is huge, of course there is a gym room. They have a tour boat, hybrid, boating ect.

I would like to add do not leave food in any outside area like by the pool or jacuzzi area. And don't leave the door open if you have food in the room. We ordered the well known babka from chabad we didn't have a chance to taste it for a raccoon entered our room while we were out. It was gone in minutes.

We went to scape park which is a short distance away. Beyond gorgeous. Way better than any small activity in banyan tree.

We like to stay in the resort for all activities. If you're interested in traveling out of the resort you could have gone to the islands and so many other places in playa.

Just come back from Nizuc. There not even compatible nothing competes with bananyan tree. We were very disappointed to say the least.

Just saying that this is a matter of opinion. We enjoyed nizuc much more.

Nizuc is a Miniature bananyan tree. Bananyan tree is way bigger. There simply not compatible
