How about the Chattering Ring?

Omg!
I was gonna write the ‘ring with the tiny gold rings’. I forgot the name. Thanks for the reminder.
That was really hot in elementary school. Also kugelach. Our knuckles turned grey...
Remember Tisket a Tasket on 18th ave?
Mini Temptations on 16th ave?
I drooled in those stores...
The only ice cream store was the one on 13 and 45.

Omg! Was just talking about this ring, but couldn’t remember the name. It seems like it made a comeback somewhat- I saw it in one of the toy store catalogs, but in colorful I think.

Mine was. And only very close friends were invited to the meal.

Jaw breakers and fire balls! (Though I hated those hot red fire balls, I forced myself to take it and say yum, as it was the craz, and I didn't want to sound silly not liking it).
Of course chew chews too... the very hard one that cracked your teeth...

My grade still danced in a circle at friends kabulas punim. It was at a very slow soft pace, but an official circle nonetheless.

Traded sandylion and Carson Delosa stickers, as well as trading stationary.
I had 8 pen pals, we wrote letter to each other often (of course during class sessions as well).

Dear pen pal- if you're reading it, say Hi...

Anyone remember Shopwise? Think it was 16th ave. I didn't live in Boro park but every time I went to my best friend I loved going in there.

Remember those heavy Zcavaricci skirts (however they were spelled) with a fly front and back pockets that we wore to camp... then replaced by that junee wrap skirt! And did anyone mention making eraser "shreddies" and putting them in the freezer because of the myth that they would harden into a new eraser?! The other in-class boredom buster was making glue bracelets on your palm Smile

Yes definitely still around. In an experiment I do with my students every year, we place the ''cry baby'' in potassium chlorate and it emits a baby's cry.
