It’s because you view tights as girly.
It’s not girly. For little kids, it’s just a leg covering, for little boys and girls.

In cold climates, men wear long underwear under trousers. Boys in tights under trousers is the same idea. Sometimes it’s not trousers but shorts - same.

Why are people so passionate about little toddler clothing other people dress their kids in??

What makes tights for babies girly?

When my father & uncles were toddlers they wore large hair bows, a generation prior dressed toddler boys in white poofy dresses.

And to insinuate that your toddler's clothes will effect their masculinity? Wow that's way beyond.

Personally I haven't dressed a boy In tights but really, if you get so worked up about the thought then it's time to broaden your horizons.

LOL probably more than half the Shabbos clothes sold in frum stores for boys ages 1-3 are meant to be worn with tights. And little boys in tights is far from a rare sight in BP and lakewood on shabbos or at a simcha.

Of course, I put it on with rompers, he looks like a little royal 😁
I’ve done it for all my boys in the past 8 years until they are around 2. It’s adorable and very fashionable in Europe.

Same!! My toddler boys are always in tights. Winter they wear rompers with tights and in the warmer weathers they wear it with socks. I personally love the look and get so many compliments. Looks way cuter than tops and leggings

One of my boys when he was a baby needed to were shoes it was easier to put him on tights under the shoes then try to find knee socks for an infant.

I know little boys were dressed in shorts all year long in the UK generations ago (or by the Royal Family -- think Prince George a few years ago), but I was not sure if this was something done by less wealthy folks in the UK/Europe. Especially with heating costs being so high this year!

And I don't think I ever saw little boys in tights under their shorts. Seems inconvenient for someone who is not toilet-trained. (I'd say the same about tights for girls at that age too.)

Is somebody going to realize that if you think tights are feminine you must be her neighbor?
Or if you say that you live in Brooklyn then you, out of the other ten thousand Brooklyn women on this site, are her cousin? We don't even have poster history anymore.

I know people in Israel who put baby boys with tights under pants for a extra layer in the winter.
Other than that, boys don't wear tights

I see little boys in Lakewood like 18 months old in the winter in a grey or brown knit romper with overalls and black cotton tights under. It actually looks really cute.

I see boys wearing white shorts and knee socks at weddings in the winter

I did it for my boys when they were little. I had one outfit that you saw the tights. Otherwise, I did it in teh winter just because they would take their socks off all day, and with tights they couldn't do that. You can't tell that it's tights when they're wearing the pants on top. In the summer they were barefoot with shorts. They would maybe wear socks for five minutes in the morning. They didn't keep them on.

It's absolutely ADORABLEMENT and I miss doing it. I love bows, tights, col Claudine, on boys and of course princess type outfits on girls. Those I can do for much longer. My husband was in little prince outfits too. ♥️

I would put on tights for on infant boy for these. But really I wouldn’t buy these for winter.
Because diaper + tights + romper can overheat boys privates. So it’s a kind of an outfit that doesn’t belong in real life for me
