Would you put your boys in tights? If so, up to what age? Only for simchos, or with a typical Shabbos outfit?

I know someone who used to put tights on her boys under their pants so they could not take their socks off but once a kid is past that stage I cant see why you would but tights on boys ever.

No way! Tights is girls wear. Why would you want to put tights on a boy? That's just strange.

I've done it in the winter when it's freezing, under pants, for a 3 and 2 year old. Would never make it a part of an outfit

Ive seen it done with young boys (2-3 years old ish) in more "european fashion-y" shabbos ensembles and I would never ever do it. Ever.
We want our boys to grow into strong young men who take care of their wives and yet we dress them like feminine sissies...gross

That’s genius. I live somewhere very cold and would never have thought of that.

It seems not uncommon in British/European styles of dress. Trying to get an idea how far we take the European trends as I sort clothes to put away for my next baby 😅

I put tights on my little boys when they were in the baby/crawling stage for a shabbos/simcha outfit in the winter for a very short romper

And my boys are quite masculine (for the poster who was worried). Tights being girly is a cultural thing.

I'm European and over here it's normal to put tights on baby/toddler boys. (shabbos only though) Is it really not done in USA? For me it's not girly at all, it's a basic, like socks.
