Apparently they were afraid to rent a bigger venue because of menhalim assering

Not true. They toured a whole bunch of different venues but none worked out for various reasons.

Don't advertise a play for the public when it's not really for the public. That is called misleading and false advertising. When ticket sales open up and most are already sold out something is extremely fishy.. end of story. My boys are sooo disappointed to say the least.

With all due respect for HCS, in COVID times they had 2 plays just for them. Now when they are finally making a play for public they should've given a chance for all to get tickets. Kids are waiting for some kosher entertainment after few years of not having any .

From the information I'm hearing lots of tickets from HCS plays are not for just HCS family. Neighbors and family friends get to go on their behalf.

I feel bad for all the disappointed boys/bucherim who were looking forward to finally have some kosher entertainment and cuz they are healthy and don't need special services are punished and will not be able to attend.

They are doing it with HCS so the chedarim shouldn’t be able to assur.
But they should have only given HCS one night.

This happens every time.
The tickets are sold within minutes.

Now even more so.

Ha, my friend has couple of kids with special needs and services thru HCS, but her kids moised doesn’t allow to attend play. She says HCS will reimburse her for other ch’h entertainment.

I'm not sure how this is true. I also kept checking and it went live after 1:10 on my side of the world. And there were only seats available on the back 5 rows. EVERYTHING else was gray and not available.

I first went on the page at 12:30 and it brought me to the page that needed a password. I figured they'll remove password protection at 1pm so that's the page I kept reloading. The main site crashed but ticket tailor didn't. That's what most people were doing BTW. Even after it looked sold out people were still sitting and watching the map and grabbing tickets as other people "let go" of them. You were still able to play "whack a mole" at 1:45 and buy then.

$250 tickets, completely sold out?

Man, talk about a captive audience…

I paid $80 to see King Lear on Broadway and thought that was expensive.

Also, if this is totally “kosher” entertainment, why are schools forbidding it?

Oiy that's another whole can of worms!

Years ago when my kids were in a very insular school their reasoning was "you never know who your kid is gonna sit next to and what influence it'll have on him"... Nevermind, their own father will be sitting with them! But that's their mentality.
I'm not sure what the reasoning is nowadays.

Gee thanks! Opening 5 back rows to the public is not considered opening the show to the public! I have booked Rachel's place and Bracha Jaffe shows online and never were 5 back rows only available when tickets began to sell. Those were considered fast selling shows. Fact is this show was meant for hcs and actors families. They generously allowed a few thousand ppl to fight over a few back seats. So kind of them! This is horrible business ethics sorry.
