Absolutely true. Those people aren't even hiding that they're doing it. Especially the "inside" people that grab tons of tickets and sell them for a fortune.

I dont think anyone grabs tickets and sells for a fortune even inside ppl. actors dont even get tickets for free for their own families. we had to pay full price for tickets and our family member is acting!!!
also re a play for Tuesday its impossible with yt and all when do you wangt the staff and actors to prepare for yt?!?!

Yes I agree with this. We paid full price! My father and brothers paid $250 each! And their son/brother is a major actor. My nephews’ tickets (their father is acting) were also fully paid for.

Don't advertise a play for the public when it's not really for the public. That is called misleading and false advertising. When ticket sales open up and most are already sold out something is extremely fishy.. end of story. My boys are sooo disappointed to say the least.

Well, at least you got tickets. Seems like this show was only for hcs and actors family members. So next time dont get the kids excited about finally attending a live play after 4 years.

The site crashed for me at 1:00 and once it loaded there were a few seats available spread out. I tried grabbing them but they showed unavailable immediately. Fact is not enough seats were available to the public so this should have been kept as a private thing as it has been the last few years. Also, usually tickets were available in stores also not just online. I know lots of disapppointed people. The way this was done was not right.

I bought my boys tickets at 12:58pm. It was supposed to go live at 1:00pm but my mother told me to start trying earlier in case it goes live slightly early. I'm glad she advised me to do that. When the map came online at 12:58 there were still at least half the tickets available if not more. b"H I was able to quickly grab the tickets I needed.

I don't think sponsors had unlimited tickets- maybe up to 30 each. My brother spoke to one of the actors who said that he was told he should tell them how many he needs but only what he actually needs- they need tickets for the public.

Also like someone on ivelt said when people were complaining about two plays to HCS- are the people going from HCS not also part of the klal? Are they any less worthy than anyone else?
I'm not sure how this is true. I also kept checking and it went live after 1:10 on my side of the world. And there were only seats available on the back 5 rows. EVERYTHING else was gray and not available.

So interesting to read. I was checking since 12:30 and it did not go live before 1:10.. I literally refreshed my page every 20 seconds.

I couldn't agree more! If you're going to have only a handful of tickets for sale then please don't advertise it as being for the public. This is so disappointing to so many kids!

I’m confused. Last years play wasn’t for the public? My boys attended.

Same here.
Im very happy for all the families of HCS that are able to attend but lately it feels like everything, every program or extracurricular activity is geared for hcs families. In our community we had several fun programs for kids that became unavailable suddenly because it gets overtaken by HCS. Understandably there’s much more money to be made there. I wont even start with the fact that many who dont qualify take advantage.
I guess my kids will have to wait till it becomes available in dvd format. Oh well….

The interen was bought out by HCS. It's not about producing a show for boys of klal Yisrael anymore. It's all about money. Now the interen can laugh their way to the bank. Will be interesting to see how they will suddenly need us to buy their tickets when HCS doesn't receive unlimited funds anymore. Everyone has their day... and this world isn't hefker.

I heard about the recorded conversation. It's just a cute convo in my opinion, not a serious one.
There are so many more kids and adults who would not be effected by the few menahalim who asser it. Like seriously. They sold seats for 5 plays previously. And now they were afraid that 2 wouldn't sell?!
