cute answer
"Vezakeinu legadel banim..." lately I love the version which Eli Marcus sang, with Avrumi Berko (Berko Brothers Orchestra) harmonizing.
An old song in Yiddish that you enjoy.

Just heard that song for the first time - it is so beautiful!
I'm not much of a Yiddish speaker/understander, though I do think it is beautiful.
I always loved the old song about a child learning alef bais, I think it's talking about sitting around the fire, repeating the letters, kumatz alef uh...
(I'm not going to try to write out the Yiddish words here, I'm sure I'll mess them up if I do! )
An English word that has a different meaning in England and the US.

Are you referring to the old Yiddish song -
"Oifen pripetchik brent ah fieyer'l
un in shteeb iz heis
Un der Rebbenyu lernt kleine kinderlech
Dem Aleph Beis
(repeat last 2 lines, then -)
Gedenkshe kinderlech
gedenkshe teiyere...
(I don't want to make this post too long by writing the whole song)

I also love this song. It's so heartwarming and brings out the beauty of Torah learning and Yiddishkeit.
